Expanded Bulletin Announcements for Sabbath, June 2, 2018

Welcome to Eastgate SDA Church!
This Weekend!  Pastor Eric; “To Those Who Wait”, Isaiah 40:31
Eyes screwed shut, body filled with tense excitement, I remember many times as a kid waiting for something that had been promised, hoping that the gift or surprise would be as good as I imagined… Waiting can be one of the hardest and exciting experiences.  You can probably remember times when you were waiting.  Maybe you are waiting for something right now, hoping for a change, a gift, a hoped for new stage of life.
This Sabbath in our continued “Promise Series” we are exploring waiting and the blessing those who “Wait on the Lord” are promised.
I’m looking forward to worshiping with you!
~Pastor Eric

Make a Difference in the World through ADRA
When you hear about disasters, from flooding in Kenya, to violence in Ukraine, remember that ADRA International continues to make a life-changing impact because of donations.  Most emergencies don't even make it to mainstream media but that does not make the disaster less devastating.  As followers of Jesus we are called to be his hands and feet to this world.  If you would like to find out more about ADRA, go to: https://adra.org/make-a-difference/

Washington Conference Camp Meeting – Auburn, Washington
Living Generously – Sharing Faithfully:  June 15-23, 2018.  Held on the campus of Auburn Adventist Academy.
A festival of faith, a gathering of hope, atime of spiritual growth and renewal.  Camp meetings hold a lot of tradition in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.  This is when faithful followers of the Advent hope gather to worship, to share faith, to grow in their Bible understanding, and to find encouragement for living generously and sharing faithfully.
Right here in western Washington, camp meetings trace back to 1886 when a handful of Seattle area Sabbath keepers held their first camp meeting in this region.  This annual time of encouragement continues today.
This might be your first time at Washington Adventist Camp Meeting, or an annual tradition in your family for the past 50 years or more.  Through your camp meeting experience, may you be inspired to live and share generously the hope and wholeness that Jesus offers us!
PRAY ONE MISSIONis a North American Division initiative calling us to focused prayer for people who need Jesus.  Do you know of one or two such people?  As you pray for these individuals, please consider sending them a subscription to Signs of the Times® 800/545-2449.  Prayer and the printed page are great teammates and proven soul winners.
