Children’s Church April 28
Carolynn Vickroy along with Tess Craig and the Children’s Ministry Team will be coordinating the children from our divisions as they present a program focusing on Friends!
We will also be sharing a vegetarian fellowship potluck meal together following the worship service.
~ looking forward to worshiping together!
Come at 9:30am and spend an hour with us in bible study in small groups.  Children’s age appropriate classes too!  Then stay from 10:45am – 12:15pm as we meet in the sanctuary for this special worship service.  Following that will be our Fellowship Dinner, bring something to share!

WWU Homecoming Weekend!

Alumni and friends of WWU are invited to Homecoming Weekend, April 26-29.  We’ve planned more than 50 events especially for you, including a banquet celebrating our core theme of generosity in service, educational seminars, a special PRISM concert, a Bowers Hall open house, and an Alleluias and Meditations concert Sabbath evening.  A full list of events and registration information is available at wallawalla.edu/homecoming or by calling (800) 377-2586.
Milton-Stateline Adventist School is having our annual Walkathon on Friday, May 4th. Our school depends on this biggest fundraiser of the year to fund our entire Special Education program and financial aid fund to help families with their tuition cost. Please consider sponsoring one of our students to walk per lap or by a flat rate donation. You may also sponsor a pastor of your choice. The pastors have quite a competition between them.
There are 2 easy ways to sponsor:
1. Electronically, go to http://pledgestar.com/milton enter your name and email address, then register and follow the instructions on the screen.
2. Send by mail to MSAS 53565 W. Crockett Rd, Milton Freewater, OR 97862.  Remember to put your name, address, to whom you are sponsoring and we will mail you a receipt for your taxes.  Thank you so much for helping Adventist education!

New UCC President - Dr. Minervino (Minner) Labrador Jr.
Following an invitation by the Upper Columbia Conference Nominating Committee and Executive Committee Monday, April 16, 2018, Dr. Minervino (Minner) Labrador Jr. accepted a call to serve as conference president.
Pastor Labrador said, “Evelyn and I are looking forward to serving the members of Upper Columbia Conference as we prepare for the soon coming of the Lord.  Please keep us in your prayers as we make the transition to Spokane.  We look forward to personally meeting you very soon.”

Women and Young Teen Women One-Day Retreat - May 5
"Each Tapestry Tells a Story" is the theme for our gathering this year for our women and young teen women spring event.  Our keynote speaker, Kathy Beagles-Coneff, comes from Pacific Press where she works as editor of Guide Magazine.  She will have three presentations relating to how God weaves us like a tapestry to one day be like Him.  Plan now to join us on Sabbath, May 5, 2018 in the assembly room at Upper Columbia Conference office, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.  For more information, call 509-838-2761.
Young Adult Retreat: Digging Deeper - May 18-20
Digging Deeper Retreat (May 18-20, 2018):  A spiritual retreat for young adults and young families (ages 20s-40s) at Camp MiVoden.  Come join us for a weekend that will leave you refreshed, challenged and connected.  Ty Gibson, the keynote speaker, will lead us in digging into the theme of God's heart & character.  Children's program for ages 4-10 yr, childcare for ages 18 months to 3 yr. and mother’s room for infants are provided at the retreat.  For more information visit www.diggingdeeperretreat.com

"Together in Christ" is the theme for UCC Camp Meeting - June 20-23, 2018
Camp Meeting theme this year is "Together in Christ."  Focusing on this theme in our Big Tent will be our main speakers, John McVay, president of Walla Walla University, and Pastor John Freedman, president of the North Pacific Union of Seventh-day Adventists.  Camp Meeting registration is open to reserve your lodging.  The musician this year is Jennifer LaMountain.  Plans are underway for each division and for the Big Tent meetings.  You will be blessed.  To learn more or to register go to: www.uccsda.org/campmeeting

Volunteers are an integral part of camp meeting in areas such as such as golf cart drivers, first aid, signing for the hearing impaired, media, audio/sound, and certain seminar classes.  Volunteers must be screened and accepted.  If you are interested in volunteering for camp meeting contact us at campmeeting@uccsda.org

UCC Educational Tour to Ireland, Scotland and Wales
There is room for eight more travelers for the UCC Educational Tour going to Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  This tour has been priced by segments so you may participate in one, two or all three segments.  The Ireland segment of the tour is July 17-25.  The Scotland segment of the tour is July 24 through July 31 and Wales will be toured August 1-5 with the return flight on August 6.  For a complete itinerary and additional information please email Sharon Searson at sharons@uccsda.org
